I grew up loving the kind of style that never had to shout: a crisp white collar, a good sweater, pearls that made everything feel finished, and that unmistakable preppy ease that says, “Yes, I made an effort,” even when you secretly chose comfort.

Then life took me from California to Tennessee, and somewhere between office days, Zoom days, travel days, school days, and the eternal search for something polished but painless, I realized I had been chasing the same thing for years: the look of the perfect white blouse, without the tugging, bunching, ironing, overheating, or “why did I wear this all day?” regret.

For the past 25-plus years, I’ve lived and breathed in offices. I know the power of looking pulled together. I also know the quiet joy of shedding a layer of perfection and slipping into something that stretches, moves, and lets you breathe.

That is where Curated Collar was born.

A little preppy. A little practical. A little Southern “come on in.” And a very sincere nod to fashion history.

Long before The Official Preppy Handbook made prep official in 1980, women had already discovered one of the smartest styling tricks of all: the chemisette — a beautiful removable blouse-front worn under dresses to create a crisp neckline without the bulk. Smart women have been hacking polished dressing for centuries. We just gave it a modern stretch.

My own lightbulb moment came from a pearl collar my mother-in-law gave me. It reminded me that a collar is not just a detail. It can be the whole accessory. The finishing touch. The thing that turns a sweater, dress, blazer, or tee into an outfit.

So we made collars for real life: soft, stretchy, comfortable, and polished enough to fool everyone into thinking you wore the perfect blouse all day.
